Nay! By the moon 32 And the night when on the wane, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 As a warning unto men, 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 "What has brought you into the Fire of Hell ?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
