He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 To him dost thou attend; 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 From him you are distracted. 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 So let him who pleases mind it. 12 On honoured leaves 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Perish Man! How unthankful he is! 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 He created him from a living germ. He determined his fate 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 Then He caused him to die and be buried 21 and then, whenever He wishes, He will raise him back to life. 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 That We watered it in abundance. 25 and then We cleaved the earth asunder. 26 to yield therein corn, 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 and olive trees and date palms 29 And thick gardens, 30 And fruits and grasses: 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 Then when cometh the Deafening Cry 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 wife and sons, 36 For every one of them on that Day shall be business enough to occupy 37 Some faces on that day will be radiant, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 Blackness will cover them: 41 those will be ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
