The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And the breath of morning 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
