And says man: What! when I am dead shall I truly be brought forth alive? 66 Does he not remember that We created him when he did not exist? 67 So by your Lord! We will most certainly gather them together and the Shaitans, then shall We certainly cause them to be present round hell on their knees. 68 and then We will draw aside from each party those who were most rebellious against the Most Compassionate Lord, 69 We alone know who deserves most to be burned therein. 70 There is not one of you who shall not go down to it: such is a thing decreed, determined by your Lord. 71 But We shall save those who guarded against evil, and We shall leave the wrong-doers therein, (humbled) to their knees. 72 AS IT IS, whenever Our messages are conveyed to them in all their clarity, those who are bent on denying the truth are wont to say unto those who have attained to faith: "Which of the two kinds of man is in a stronger position and superior as a community?" 73 We have destroyed so many generations before them, who surpassed them in material power and splendour. 74 Say, "Whoever is in error - let the Most Merciful extend for him an extension [in wealth and time] until, when they see that which they were promised - either punishment [in this world] or the Hour [of resurrection] - they will come to know who is worst in position and weaker in soldiers." 75 And God endows those who avail themselves of [His] guidance with an ever-deeper consciousness of the right way; and good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are, in thy Sustainer's sight, of far greater merit [than any worldly goods,] and yield far better returns. 76 And hast thou ever considered [the kind of man] who is bent on denying the truth of Our messages and says, "I will surely be given wealth and children"? 77 Has he, perchance, attained to a realm which is beyond the reach of a created being's perception? or has he concluded a covenant with the Most Gracious? 78 On the contrary, We will write down what he says and prolong the length of his punishment. 79 and We shall inherit from him what he says, and he shall come to Us alone. 80 They have taken other gods apart from God that they might be a strength to them. 81 Instead, they shall reject their worship, and become adversaries against them. 82
