Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water] 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 and those that apportion [the gift of life] at [God's] behest! 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
