Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking toward their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
