Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he bethinketh that it is the time of parting. 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
