Are you more difficult to create, or is the heaven that He constructed? 27 High has He reared its vault and formed it in accordance with what it was meant to be; 28 Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day; 29 And the earth He extended after that; 30 And he brought forth therefrom its water, and its pasture. 31 And the mountains He set firmly 32 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 33 But when there comes the greatest catastrophe (i.e. the Day of Recompense, etc.), 34 on the Day that man remembers what he strove for 35 and Hell will be brought in sight for anyone to see: 36 Then, as for him who rebelled 37 And had preferred the life of this world, 38 Then surely the hell, that is the abode. 39 And as for him who fears to stand in the presence of his Lord and forbids the soul from low desires, 40 most surely his abode shall be Paradise. 41 They (the disbelievers) ask you regarding the Last Day, as to when is its appointed time. 42 [But] how couldst thou tell anything about it, 43 To your Lord belongs (the knowledge of) the term thereof? 44 You are only a warner for those who fear it. 45 On the Day when they behold it, it will be as if they had lingered but an evening, or, a morning. 46
