Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 and whatever they had been earning proved of no avail. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to [certain] categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
