And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 And We gave him his family and the like of them with them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to those possessed of understanding. 43 And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord). 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Surely We purified them by a pure quality, the keeping in mind of the (final) abode. 46 They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good. 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 #NAME? 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 This is what is promised you for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Gehenna, wherein they are roasted - an evil cradling! 56 This - let them taste it: scalding water and corruption. 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people who rushed headlong [into sin] with you? No welcome to them! Verily, they [too] shall have to endure the fire!" 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked. 62 "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
