The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 By the angels hastening, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 you pay attention 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
