Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 by the day when it appears radiant, 2 and by that (Power) which created the male and female, 3 Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends). 4 As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him, 5 And testifieth to the Good, 6 We will ease him toward ease. 7 As for him who was a miser and behaved with aversion (to Allah), 8 and have no faith in receiving any reward (from God). 9 For him We shall ease the way of adversity, 10 And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11 Surely upon Us rests the guidance, 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 I have now warned you of a Blazing Fire, 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 The one who denied and turned away. 16 But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- 17 he that spends his possessions [on others] so that he might grow in purity 18 And no one has with him any boon for which he should be rewarded, 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 He will surely be well-pleased (with him). 21

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
