Lo! Abraham was a nation obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the idolaters; 120 he was thankful for His blessings. God chose him and guided him to a straight path. 121 We gave goodness to him in this world, and in the Everlasting Life he shall be amongst the righteous. 122 So We commanded you to follow the way of Abraham the upright who was not of idolaters. 123 The Sabbath was only prescribed for those who differed concerning it, and verily, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection about that wherein they used to differ. 124 Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way. Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strayeth from His way, and He is Best Aware of those who go aright. 125 And if you take your turn, then retaliate with the like of that with which you were afflicted; but if you are patient, it will certainly be best for those who are patient. 126 Endure with patience, for your endurance is not without the help of God. Do not grieve for them, and do not be distressed by their plots. 127 for, verily, God is with those who are conscious of Him and are doers of good withal! 128
