Blessed be He who has set the constellations in the heaven, and set amongst them a sun, and an illuminating moon. 61 And it is He Who created the alternation of the night and day for one who wishes to remember or intends to give thanks. 62 Devotees of Ar-Rahman are those who walk with humility on the earth, and when they are addressed by the ignorant, say: 'Peace;" 63 And those who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing. 64 And they who say: O our Lord! turn away from us the punishment of hell, surely the punishment thereof is a lasting 65 Lo! it is wretched as abode and station; 66 And those who, when they spend, are neither prodigal nor grudging; and there is ever a firm station between the two; 67 who do not call upon another god with Allah, nor slay the soul which Allah has forbidden except by right; who do not fornicate, for he who does this shall face punishment 68 The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; 69 except the one who may have repented (after those sins) and have believed and done righteous works, for then Allah will change his evil deeds into good deeds, and He is very Forgiving and Merciful. 70 In fact, the one who repents and does righteous deeds, returns to Allah as one ightly should. - 71 and those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by idle talk, pass by with honor 72 And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind. 73 And who submit, “Our Lord, soothe our eyes with our wives and our children, and make us leaders of the pious.” 74 Those shall be recompensed with the highest rank for their patience. There they shall receive a greeting, and peace! 75 Abiding there for ever. Happy is it as abode and station! 76 Say thou: my Lord careth not for you were it not for your prayer; whereas ye have even belied, so presently this denial shall come as the cleaving punishment. 77
