SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 (Remember) When your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human from clay.” – 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 Saving Iblis; he was scornful and became one of the disbelievers. 74 He (Allah) said: 'iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself towards that which I have created with My Hands? Have you become too proud, or are you among the grand' 75 Said he, 'I am better than he; Thou createdst me of fire, and him Thou createdst of clay.' 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 God said, "This is the truth, I speak only the truth, 84 I shall certainly fill Gehenna with you and every one of them that follows you' 85 Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves. 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
