Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
The disbelievers among the People of the Book and the pagans disbelieved (in Islam) only after receiving divine testimony: 1 A Messenger from Allah, reciting purified scriptures 2 Wherein are discourses eternal. 3 The people of the Book were not divided among themselves till after the clear proof had come to them. 4 They were commanded only to worship God, offering Him sincere devotion, to be sincere in their faith, to pray regularly; and to give alms, for that is the right religion. 5 Surely those who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book and the polytheists shall be in the fire of hell, abiding therein; they are the worst of men. 6 (And) lo! those who believe and do good works are the best of created beings. 7 their recompense is with their Lord-Gardens of Eden, underneath which rivers flow, therein dwelling for ever and ever. God is well-pleased with them, and they are well-pleased with Him; that is for him who fears his Lord. 8
