The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 Then We made him a small seed in a firm resting-place, 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
