Al-Mu' minoon 3 of 6
But the leaders of his people who denied the truth and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, because We had granted them ease and plenty in their worldly life, said, "This is only a human being like yourselves, he eats what you eat, and drinks what you drink, 33 So if you follow a man like yourself you will certainly be doomed. 34 Does he promise you that when you are dead and are reduced to dust and bones, you will be brought forth to life? 35 ۞ How far-fetched what you are promised; 36 There is no life beyond our life in this world: we die and we live [but once,] and we shall never be raised from the dead! 37 “He is just a man who has fabricated a lie against Allah, and we are not going to believe him.” 38 The Messenger prayed, "Lord, help me; they have called me a liar". 39 He replied: 'Before long, by the morning, they shall be remorseful' 40 And the Cry seized them justly, and We made them as scum; so away with the people of the evildoers! 41 Then We produced after them other generations. 42 no nation outstrips its term, nor do they put it back. 43 Then sent We our messengers in succession: every time there came to a people their messenger, they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): So away with a people that will not believe! 44 AND THEN We sent forth Moses and his brother Aaron with Our messages and a manifest authority [from Us] 45 To Pharaoh and his Chiefs: But these behaved insolently: they were an arrogant people. 46 They therefore said, “Shall we believe in two humans like ourselves, whereas their nation is servile to us?” 47 So they denied them and were of those destroyed. 48 And We verily gave Moses the Scripture, that haply they might go aright. 49 We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign and gave them shelter on a peaceful hillside watered by a fresh spring. 50

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
