No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 it is a warning to man, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 until death approached us". 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
