The people of Noah rejected the Messengerss. 105 Recall when their brother Noah said to them: "Do you have no fear? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger sent to you. 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 109 so fear God and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said, “What do I know what their deeds are?” 112 Their reckoning is upon my Lord, if ye but knew. 113 I do not drive away the believers. 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
