Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad. 29 Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await an adverse turn of fortune.” 30 Say thou: "Wait, [then,] hopefully; behold, I, too, shall hopefully wait with you!" 31 Does their reasoning prompt them to this, or they are a people rebellious? 32 Or do they say: "He himself has composed this [message]"? Nay, but they are not willing to believe! 33 Let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim. 34 Or were they created out of naught? Or are they the creators? 35 Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Does God have daughters while you have sons? 39 Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? 40 Do they possess knowledge of the unseen, so that they can write it down? 41 Or do they want to stage a deception? -- Then only those who do not believe will be the ones who will be tricked. 42 Or, do they have a god, other than Allah? Exaltations to Allah above that which they associate! 43 Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!" 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 A day on which their scheming will not benefit them at all, nor will they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a punishment beyond that. But most of them know not. 47 And so, await in patience thy Sustainer's judgment, for thou art well within Our sight. And extol thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise whenever thou risest up, 48 And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars. 49
