Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
