The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
