O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters, as well as all [other] believing women, that they should draw over themselves some of their outer garments [when in public]: this will be more conducive to their being recognized [as decent women] and not annoyed. But [withal,] God is indeed much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace! 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and perverts, and the rumour-mongers of Madinah, do not desist even now, We shall rouse you against them, so they would not be able to live but a short time in the city with you. 60 bereft of God's grace, they shall be seized wherever they may be found, and slain one and all. 61 (Such has been) the course of Allah with respect to those who have gone before; and you shall not find any change in the course of Allah. 62 Men ask you about the hour; say: The knowledge of it is only with Allah, and what will make you comprehend that the hour may be nigh. 63 Allah has cursed the unbelievers and has prepared for them a Blazing Fire; 64 Wherein they will abide for ever, and they will find neither a Wali (a protector) nor a helper. 65 On the Day when their faces will be turned over in the Fire, they will say: "Oh, would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger (Muhammad SAW)." 66 And they shall say: O our Lord! surely we obeyed our leaders and our great men, so they led us astray from the path; 67 O our Sustainer! Give them double suffering, and banish them utterly from Thy grace!" 68
