Hizb 46

Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 And We grew a tree of gourd (as a shelter) above him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 We glorify God." 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
