Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 raised couches, 13 And cups set at hand. 14 And arranged carpets. 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And the mountains – how they have been established? 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 But whoever turns back and denies the truth, 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 Indeed only towards Us is their return 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
