Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His property and worldly gains will be of no help to him. 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 with a rope of twisted fibre round her neck. 5
God the Almighty always says the truth.
