O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak). 20 And be not like those who say: "We have heard," but they hear not. 21 ۞ Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are the deaf and dumb who do not use reason. 22 And had Allah found any goodness in them, He would have made them hear; and had He made them hear they would, in the end, have turned away and gone back. 23 O believers, respond to the call of God and His Prophet when he calls you to what will give you life (and preservation). Remember that God intervenes between man and his heart, and that you will be gathered before Him. 24 And fear the trial that shall not afflict those alone who among you do wrong; and know that verily Allah is severe in chastising. 25 And remember when you were few, deemed weak in the land, fearing lest people might carry you off by force, but He sheltered you and strengthened you with His aid and gave you of the good things that you may give thanks. 26 O you who believe! be not unfaithful to Allah and the Apostle, nor be unfaithful to your trusts while you know. 27 And know that your properties and your children are but a trial and that Allah has with Him a great reward. 28
