Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
The disbelievers among the People of the Book and the pagans disbelieved (in Islam) only after receiving divine testimony: 1 a Messenger (Muhammad) from God, reciting to them parts of the purified, 2 Containing firm decrees. 3 Those who were given the Book did not become divided except after clear evidence was given to them. 4 And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion. 5 Surely the unbelievers among the people of the Book and the idolaters, will abide in the fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures. 6 (And) lo! those who believe and do good works are the best of created beings. 7 their recompense is with their Lord-Gardens of Eden, underneath which rivers flow, therein dwelling for ever and ever. God is well-pleased with them, and they are well-pleased with Him; that is for him who fears his Lord. 8
