When the messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 He said: "You are people I do not know." 62 They replied, "We have come to you about the matter which the (unbelievers) have rejected. 63 And we have come to you with the truth, and we are most surely truthful. 64 Depart with your family in a part of the night and walk behind them and let none of you turn round. Go to a place where you are commanded' 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning. 66 The people of the city came to him rejoicing. 67 Said Lot: "These are my guests; do not put me to shame, 68 "And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." 69 They said; Have we not forbidden you from (entertaining) anyone? 70 He said, "Here are my daughters, if you must act in this way." 71 By your life, they wandered on in their wild intoxication 72 Therefore the scream overcame them at sunrise. 73 We laid it (the city) upside down and rained stones of baked clay upon them. 74 Surely in that are signs for such as mark; 75 The place (where this occurred) lies along a known route. 76 In this there is evidence (of the Truth) for the believers. 77 And the people of Aykah were also wrong-doers. 78 So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible. 79
