And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 and those who set up other gods with Allah, indeed, they will soon know. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 but extol thou thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise Him, and be of those who prostrate themselves [before Him] in adoration, 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
