Do they who are bent on denying the truth think, perchance, that they could take [any of] My creatures for protectors against Me? Verily, We have readied hell to welcome all who [thus] deny the truth! 102 Say: 'Shall We tell you who will be the greatest losers in their works? 103 "Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life while they thought that they were acquiring good by their deeds! 104 "They are those who deny the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord and the Meeting with Him (in the Hereafter). So their works are in vain, and on the Day of Resurrection, We shall not give them any weight. 105 That is their recompense -- Gehenna for that they were unbelievers and took My signs and My messengers in mockery. 106 As to those who believe and work righteous deeds, they have, for their entertainment, the Gardens of Paradise, 107 therein to dwell forever, desiring no removal out of them.' 108 Tell them, "If the ocean became ink for writing the words of my Lord, surely the ocean would be exhausted before the words of my Lord came to an end -- even if We were to add another ocean to it." 109 Say [O Prophet]: "I am but a mortal man like all of you. It has been revealed unto me that your God is the One and Only God. Hence, whoever looks forward [with hope and awe] to meeting his Sustainer [on Judgment Day,] let him do righteous deeds, and let him not ascribe unto anyone or anything a share in the worship due to his Sustainer!" 110
