And indeed We sent Nooh towards his people – he therefore said, “O my people! Worship Allah, you do not have any other God except Him; so do you not fear?” 23 The chiefs of the unbelievers said to the others, "He is a mere mortal like you. He wants only to be superior to you. Had God wanted He would have sent the angels (instead of him). We have never heard from our fathers anything like what he says. 24 (And some said): "He is only a man possessed: wait (and have patience) with him for a time." 25 He said, 'O my Lord, help me, for that they cry me lies.' 26 Then We inspired in him, saying: Make the ship under Our eyes and Our inspiration. Then, when Our command cometh and the oven gusheth water, introduce therein of every (kind) two spouses, and thy household save him thereof against whom the Word hath already gone forth. And plead not with Me on behalf of those who have done wrong. Lo! they will be drowned. 27 And when thou art on board the ship, thou and whoso is with thee, then say: Praise be to Allah Who hath saved us from the wrongdoing folk! 28 And say: 'Lord, let me land a blessed landing. You are the Best of harborers' 29 Surely, in that are signs, and surely We will put (nations) to the test. 30 AND AFTER those [people of old] We gave rise to new generations; 31 and sent a messenger to them from among themselves: "Worship God alone. You have no deity other than Him. Will you not then fear God?" 32
