THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
