He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). 2 What made you think that he will not grow in virtue, 3 Or be admonished, so that the admonition might have profited him? 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 You pay full attention, 6 though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. 7 But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge] 8 And he feareth 9 of him you were unmindful. 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. 12 (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 13 Exalted and purified, 14 by the hands of the noble, virtuous, 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah; 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 Yet man declines to do His bidding. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 and let the earth to break open 26 and therein made the grains to grow 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 olives, dates, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 and fruits and pastures 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 mother, father, 35 and from his spouse and his children: 36 For every one of them on that Day shall be business enough to occupy 37 Many faces will that day be bright, 38 Laughing, joyous. 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 with darkness overspread: 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
