Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes 11 and these honorable scribes know whatever you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And will not be absent thence. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
