The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
