(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 Make my task easy 26 And untie the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 Aaron my brother 30 By him confirm my strength 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 He replied: "Our Sustainer is He who gives unto every thing [that exists] its true nature and form, and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment]. 50 Pharaoh asked, "What about the previous generations?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
