And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who disbelieve. And woe unto those who disbelieve, from the Fire! 27 Shall We treat those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the same as those who do mischief on earth? Shall We treat those who guard against evil, the same as those who turn aside from the right? 28 A Book We have sent down to thee, Blessed, that men possessed of minds may ponder its signs and so remember. 29 We gave Solomon to David; and he was an excellent worshiper, he was penitent. 30 Recall what time there were presented unto him, at eventide, coursers swift-footed. 31 he said, "My love of horses for the cause of God has made me continue watching them until sunset, thus making me miss my prayer". 32 He then ordered, “Bring them back to me”; and he began caressing their shins and necks. 33 And, indeed We did try Sulaiman (Solomon) and We placed on his throne Jasadan (a devil, so he lost his kingdom for a while) but he did return (to his throne and kingdom by the Grace of Allah and he did return) to Allah with obedience and in repentance. 34 He said: My Lord! Forgive me and bestow on me sovereignty such as shall not belong to any after me. Lo! Thou art the Bestower. 35 So We made the wind subservient unto him, setting fair by his command whithersoever he intended. 36 and all the devils who built and dived for him. 37 And others fettered in chains. 38 This is Our free gift, therefore give freely or withhold, without reckoning. 39 And lo! he hath favour with Us, and a happy journey's end. 40
