The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the bright forenoon, 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And find you in want and make you to be free from want? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
