He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, whence ye have drink, and whence are trees on which ye send your beasts to pasture. 10 (With this water) He causes corn, olives, palm-trees, vines, and all kinds of fruits to grow. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of understanding. 11 And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder; 12 And He hath subjected for you whatsoever He hath multiplied for you on the earth of various kinds. Verily therein is a sign for a people who receive admonition. 13 It is He who has subjected the sea to you, so that you eat of its soft flesh and bring up from it ornaments which you wear. And you see the ships plowing their course through it in order that you seek His bounty and give thanks. 14 And he has placed firm mountains on earth, lest it sway with you, and rivers and paths, so that you might find your way, 15 And marks and sign-posts; and by the stars (men) guide themselves. 16 Is then the One Who creates like the one who does not create? Will you not, then, take heed? 17 Even if you wanted to count up all of God's blessings, you would not be able to. God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 18 And Allah doth know what ye conceal, and what ye reveal. 19 And those whom they worship other than Allah, do not create anything but are themselves created. 20 They are dead, not alive; and they do not know when will the people be raised. 21
