[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 And make my mission easy. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 that they may understand my words. 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 that we may abundantly extol Your glory; 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
