The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
