(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 Strengthen me through him 31 and let him share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 "And remember You much, 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
