۞ And those who expect not for a Meeting with Us (i.e. those who deny the Day of Resurrection and the life of the Hereafter), say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or why do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they think too highly of themselves, and are scornful with great pride. 21 The Day, when they will see the angels, will not be a day of rejoicing for the criminals; they will cry out, "May Allah save us!" 22 We shall call their deeds into Our presence and scatter them into the air as dust (turn them devoid of all virtue). 23 The inhabitants of the Garden will have the best residence and the finest lodging on that Day. 24 And (remember) the Day when the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and the angels will be sent down, with a grand descending. 25 The real Kingdom on that Day will belong only to the Merciful, and it will be a very hard Day for the disbelievers. 26 On that Day, the wrongdoer will bite his hands and say, "Would that I had walked in the Messenger's path! 27 "Ah! woe is me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend! 28 Indeed, he led me astray from the remembrance [of God] after it had come unto me!" For [thus it is:] Satan is ever a betrayer of man. 29 AND [on that Day] the Apostle will say: "O my Sustainer! Behold, [some of] my people have come to regard this Qur'an as something [that ought to be] discarded!" 30 thus did We assign to every prophet an enemy from among the sinners; your Lord is sufficient as a guide and a helper. 31 And those who disbelieve say: wherefore is the Qur'an not revealed unto him entire at once! Thus - We reveal - that We may establish thy heart therewith; and We have repeated it with a repetition. 32 And no example or similitude do they bring (to oppose or to find fault in you or in this Quran), but We reveal to you the truth (against that similitude or example), and the better explanation thereof. 33 Those who will be dragged on their faces towards hell – theirs is the worst destination and they are the most astray. 34
