Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 161 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 "Of all the creatures in the world, will ye approach males, 165 "And leave those whom Allah has created for you to be your wives? Nay, you are a trespassing people!" 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said, "I certainly hate what you practice. 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 Except an old woman among those who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
