۞ No sooner the example of the son of Mary was mentioned than, lo and behold, your people raised a clamour 57 and say: 'What, are our gods better, or is he?' They do not mention him to you except to dispute, truly, they are a contentious nation. 58 He is only a servant We blessed, and We made him to be an example to the Children of Israel. 59 if We had so wished, We could have appointed angels in exchange for you to succeed you on the earth. 60 And verily he is a sign of the Hour wherefore dubitate not thereof, and follow Me: this is the straight path. 61 And let not Satan bar you [from it] - for, verily, he is your open foe! 62 And when Isa came with clear arguments he said: I have come to you indeed with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you part of what you differ in; so be careful of (your duty to) Allah and obey me: 63 Allah is my Lord and your Lord; therefore, serve Him.
