[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 Then they cut their affair among them in regard to the Scriptures; each band in that which is with them rejoicing. 53 Therefore leave them in their overwhelming ignorance till 54 Think they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We provide them 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Surely those who live in awe of their Lord, 57 And those who believe in the communications of their Lord, 58 and those who associate naught with their Lord 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 [But they will be told] "Cry not in supplication today; for, behold, you shall not be succoured by Us! 65 Our revelations had certainly been recited to you, but you turned your backs to them 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Have they not pondered over the Word (of Allah, i.e. what is sent down to the Prophet SAW), or has there come to them what had not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 Or do they say: "There is madness in him"? Nay, he has brought them the truth - and the truth do most of them detest! 70 Were the Truth to follow their desires, the order of the heavens and the earth and those who dwell in them would have been ruined. Nay, the fact is that We have brought to them their own remembrance; and yet it is from their own remembrance that they are turning away. 71 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ Even if We showed them mercy and relieved them of their afflictions, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!- 76 Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein! 77
