Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 Never! There is no refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 for, behold, it is for Us to gather it [in thy heart,] and to cause it to be read [as it ought to be read]. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
