The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 THIS DIVINE WRIT - let there be no doubt about it - is [meant to be] a guidance for all the God-conscious. 2 Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them. 3 And who believe in this (Qur’an) which has been sent down upon you, O beloved Prophet, (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) and what was sent down before you; and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful. 5 Those who disbelieve, whether you forewarn them or not, they will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and hearing and their vision is veiled; a great punishment awaits them. 7
